Quantum Mind and the Alaya-Vijnana: The Singularity Where Quantum Field Theory and Ancient Wisdom Merge (Quantum Yogacara Theory Book 1)

Discovering Your True Self in the Field of Universal ConsciousnessIntroduction "What is the nature of reality?" and "Who am I?" In addressing these profound questions, this book offers a groundbreaking perspective by integrating cutting-edge quantum field theory with the ancient non-dual wisdom of Mahayana Buddhism. Our central thesis is that the universe is fundamentally a field of information, and consciousness is the irreducible foundation upon which physical reality is constructed. The Theoretical Bridge Modern physics is undergoing a paradigm shift. As proposed in the latest research by Dr. Maria Strømme, consciousness is not an emergent byproduct of brain activity but a "Foundational Field" (Φ) that exists beyond space and time. Before the Big Bang, reality existed in a state of "Pure Potentiality" (∣Φ₀⟩), a mathematical superposition of all possible universes. This scientific framework resonates deeply with the "Alaya-vijnana" (Storehouse Consciousness) taught in Yogacara Buddhist texts like the Mahayana-samgraha. For over 1,500 years, Buddhism has maintained that the world is a projection of the mind (Vijnapti-matra), where latent information known as "seeds" (Bija) transitions into manifest reality through the act of observation.Key Concepts Explained This book breaks down complex theories using intuitive analogies:• The Metaverse Metaphor: Just as raw data on a server (Alaya / ∣Φ₀ ⟩) is rendered into a 3D landscape only when a player observes it, our reality is a momentary output of the universal field.• The Ocean and the Wave: Individual consciousness (∣ψ i ⟩) is not separate from the universe but a localized excitation—a "ripple"—on the cosmic sea of universal consciousness, triggered by the "Universal Thought" operator ( T̂ ).The Goal of This Book By the end of this journey, you will realize that you are not a separate island of existence but a localized expression of the universe’s infinite potential. When we strip away the labels created by our habitual thoughts (Parikalpita), we return to the ultimate reality (Parinispanna)—the field of universal consciousness where science and spirituality merge. We invite you to step into the singularity where the silence of the Big Bang meets the clarity of awakening.
