Metal Shafts & Hypotubes

TE is a top supplier of high-precision metal shafts and hypotubes, used in creating minimally invasive medical device solutions such as structural heart intervention, electrophysiology mapping and ablation catheters, and surgical robotics.

• Custom Transitions - Engineered for optimal performance using advanced processes like laser spiral cutting, skive features, or corewire welding
• Enhanced Trackability - Diverse coating technologies maximize trackability, including discrete polymer overjacketing
• Push & Torque Optimization - Consistent and reliable treatment site location ensured by optimizing key performance characteristics
• Kink Performance Enhancement - Design advice and PoleVault hypotube products offered to optimize kink performance
• Compression Resistance - Define specific requirements before prototype development, e.g., 1,000 mm shaft with less than 1% compression under 4lb force
• Flexibility Specifications - Bend radius requirements can be defined, e.g., shaft must bend around a 30 mm diameter
