Freshwater Brown Back Crab

*PLEASE CALL THE STORE FOR PRICING & AVAILABLITY*

Austrothelphusa agassizi is a striking, active and characterful native Australian freshwater crab ideally suited to an aqua-terrarium setup. Its warm tan-orange colouration with a distinctive dorsal band, bold personality and natural amphibious behaviour make it one of the most visually appealing Australian freshwater crabs available in the hobby. An escape-proof lid, amphibious setup with both water and land access, calcium provision, copper-free water, careful moulting management and individual housing are the foundations of excellent care. As a native Australian invertebrate, licensing requirements may vary by state — confirm before purchasing and source only from reputable captive stock.
